Oh my memories of Runt when he put a seat behind his in the race car and had the first (in) or on-board camera (in the history of auto racing) with a "live" photgrapher behind him. AND, during a race. It was feature in Speed Age Magazine. Runt wreck and got out of the car and left the photographer in the car. Oh the memories and history of auto racing that is forgotten with the new historians(?). There were thrills on "Strawberry Hill" too!

Had the pleasure of inducting Runt into the Strawberry Hill Mod Squad in 1990. He was very sick at the time. One of his last appearances.

I remember Runt well.  I went to school and graduated high school with his daughter, Brenda.  He also drove the number 360 car that was owned by the owner of the 360 Drive-In in Danville, Va.

Andy I knew "Runt Harris" and he drove my father's car #37 a few times back in the mid 1950's at "Dude Ranch Speedway" now called Langley Speedway.
