Wow Jack, great photo!! Thanks for sharing!!

This version of the car I have never seen. I familiar with the light color bodied car that he ran at the 1st part of the year in 1968 & the car carried #1. I know the Cougar had been built by "Big Bud" Moore (article attached along his know stats for the 1968 Grand Touring schedule). The later part of the 1968 season 'Lil' Bud raced a 1968 Camaro with the same sponsor as the Cougar. Car appears to have a similar livery as the King Enterprises sponsored Charger he drove in Grand National races.

Little Bud also produced these tee shirts for us at Wrangler:

Lil' Bud Moore #11 Cougar sponsored by Barbecue King from Greenville, SC. Not sure what year he drove this car. Does anyone know ? This photo is from the Bud Moore collection.

When Wrangler Jeans began sponsoring Dale Earnhardt in November 1980, Little Bud Moore was sourcing and selling Dale's souvenirs. We retained that relationship with Little Bud at Wrangler, with our auditors handling the bookkeeping between Dale and Little Bud. Here's a 1982 "Little Bud" Moore designed/sourced tee shirt of Dale in the "Big Bud" Moore Ford:

Seen here is Moore at the wheel of the Ronnie Hopkins Chevelle #87 around 1968. Moore had many victories in this car at Greenville, and Columbia. This photo is from the Bud Moore collection.

I met Little Bud through a mutual friend, Rod Long of Morristown, Tennessee.  Rod brought Little Bud to my house one Saturday afternoon to look at an old modified dirt car that I was restoring.  After that I would see him on occasion at Rod's house.  He was a very pleasant guy to be around.  I understand that he has a rather well known coupe from the '60s that came from East Tennessee and was driven by Ken Hunley.

So Cool. I got to meet THE MAN today!  Jeff and I dropped into Maurice's BBQ and Little Bud Moore was there having lunch!  Looking forward to seeing him again in Columbia at the April event if not before.
