I met Little Bud through a mutual friend, Rod Long of Morristown, Tennessee.  Rod brought Little Bud to my house one Saturday afternoon to look at an old modified dirt car that I was restoring.  After that I would see him on occasion at Rod's house.  He was a very pleasant guy to be around.  I understand that he has a rather well known coupe from the '60s that came from East Tennessee and was driven by Ken Hunley.

So Cool. I got to meet THE MAN today!  Jeff and I dropped into Maurice's BBQ and Little Bud Moore was there having lunch!  Looking forward to seeing him again in Columbia at the April event if not before.

ok, jim, i didn't see that first one, and most people think lil bud was always blonde. thanks for making that correction. he's also a great friend of mine. sorry bout that.
Comment by Jim Seay on January 20, 2010 at 7:40pm're not looking at the same picture as the one I commented on when this page was first established. It erroneously identified the Original Bud Moore of Spartanburg as being one and the same with "L'il" Bud even though there was no resemblance, of course..
The original picture showed up on September 9, 2009 and was removed after I sent J.C. Hayes a note correcting his mistake..
I've known both "Buds" for more than 45 years.

Bud is as good as they get...a guy with depth and knowledge and articulates what he knows very, very well. He's a great asset to whatever endeavor his undertakes.
