I just can't thank you enough for all the pics & info. If you follow Billy's grandsons you know his oldest won the Bowman Gray Stadium championship this past weekend and his youngest grandson won the most popular driver award & finished 5th for the season. I know how much they appreciate all the info. Thanks again!!!

Curtis Turner leads Billy Myers and Joe Weatherly thru the North Turn during the 1957 160 mile Covertible race. The event was won by Tim Flock, Billy's team mate, Jow Weatherly finished 2nd and Myers was third.

Another shot of Billy Myers at Bowman-Gray Stadium in 1957. Billy is driving the #14 Mercury and Glen Wood just in front in the #21 Ford

Billy Myers leads at Daytona during the running of the convertible race of 1957. Myers fell short of victory because of a long pit stop that limited him to a third place finish.

A rare photo of Billy Myers and his 1955 T-Bird at Bowman-Grey Stadium. Billy raced the car in 1955 and 1956 in the "International Sedan Series"

Where was this last photo taken? I am the sister of Billy's son Gary. Which I guess that explains why I am such a big fan. Burt & Jason being my nephews I may seem a little partial sometimes, can't help it! They both definitely inherited Billy's love of the sport and his talent. Gary was a great driver too but has since retired and helps his boys. Gary was pretty young when Billy died but he learned a lot in those few years and gained the rest of his knowledge through trial and error. He knows more about race cars then most of the Sprint drivers today do. This knowledge he has passed down to his boys and they in turn will pass it down to their children so the saga continues. Thanks again for all the posts & pics. They are "great". Keep them coming.

A great photo of Billy Myers and his Bill Stroppe prepared 1956 Mercury. Billy won 2 times with this car in the 1956 season and scored 13 top five and 21 top ten finishes in 43 starts netting a 6th place in the final point standings chase.

These are awesome!! Thank you so much for taking the time to post them for all the Myers fans to see. I can only assume that since you seem to be such a fan of Billy, you obviously follow the careers of his grandsons, Burt & Jason Myers. Billy would be very proud of his legacy. These boys have made a huge impact on the world of small track racing. As you probably know Billy was the one who originated the Madhouse scramble as it use to be called. Now look where the term Madhouse takes you!!! I attend Bowman Gray every Saturday night and root the Myers Brothers on along with at least 17,000 others. I talk to people who travel from all over the country just to see the Myers boys and stand in line for hours after the race just to get a picture or autograph. I can see Billy & Bobby both smiling down from heaven as the Myers legacy continues to grow. Thanks again for all the hard work you have done and for giving me & others the rare opportunity to view Billy's legendary winning race cars.
