Butch helping with a bicycle race at Georgia International Speedway.  Butch was a great driver and good fellow.  I'll post a few more photos of Butch along.

Butch was a fierce competitor and a good friend. I followed his career from NASCAR Late Model Sportsman to Cup racing and on to the infancy days of Bob Harmon's All Pro Series.

We miss Butch greatley. We were driving a car for Ronnie Hopkins of Greenville, S.C. in the 60's. Butch was just a young man and followed us around everywhere we went. He was always first to get to the car window after a race or even hot laps for that matter. He was one of the nicest guys anyone could meet. Always wanting to drive a race car and thanks to the Lord, Bucth was able to prove to the world he was one super race car driver as well as a husband, father and friend.
We loved the little guy!!

Dad worked for Butch off and on, can't remember the years I'd say late 70s. One time mom and dad took me to myrtle beach and we where at the go kart tracks that used to be near the old air force base and we ran into Butch and his family, Butch told dad he'd race me, we made about two laps beating and banging he push me off the track, they stopped us and ask us to get out. I'll never forget Butch laughing all the way out of there. At the time I didn't know how big time he was all I knew was he was I of the coolest adults I'd ever been around and I never heard of him running anybody else off of a track, sure do miss him.
