Jake was hard to beat. He could leave one shop and walk in another and go to work. He will be missed.
Thanks

I worked with Jake toward the tail end of his career at Filmar Racing #81 cup car that Kenny Wallace drove....Jake is one of the most colorful people I have ever met. His "no nonsense" attitude had a huge impact on how I looked at racing and how I needed to do whatever it took to be successful in the business of stock car racing... I'm truly blessed to have had the opportunity to work side by side with such a legend.

i am envious, i would love to have an autographed card of jake. I have looked for one but have never found one. I have his pit pass from the 79 darlington 500 but its signed by david pearson [my fave driver of all time].
